Hi, my name is Jenny
I live in the Southeast of England. I am a wife, a mother of three grown up boys, a bible teacher, and a lifetime follower of Jesus Christ. I have been learning to interpret dreams for many years.
My aim is to provide useful dream interpretation tips and point you towards resources that I have found helpful. I hope that, as I share my experiences, you will be inspired to make your own journey.
Most of all, I hope to help you get to know your Creator God a little better – so He becomes your companion on this journey too!
My frame of reference
There are many places offering insights into dreams, but as a follower of Jesus I start from the assumption that many of our dreams come from an outside source, which I believe to be God. Therefore I primarily seek to understand what God says the dream means. In practical terms that means I aim for an interpretation that is consistent with the God of the bible, and also led by the Holy Spirit.
I take my inspiration from Joseph (of Technicolour Dreamcoat fame) and Daniel, two of the great dream interpreters of the bible.
“We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”
Genesis 40:8

An invitation to a conversation
I have discovered that there is no formula to follow, but there are some helpful tools and principles that can make the interpretation process much easier. I would recommend taking some basic training as a starting point (see my article on dream interpretation resources for some ideas).
My experience has been that every dream carries with it an invitation to a conversation with our Maker, and is designed to draw us into a closer relationship with Him. My desire is that we would all come to know Him better, and take seriously what He communicates to us through our dreams.
